A great network of friends existed around downtown Las Olas, so I tapped into that. I look forward to continuing this as long as it is needed. It's a special blessing to work with the fruit of God's good earth, and to share freely with others.
I am a Sister in an Episcopal Order, and an Artist and founder of Upper Room Art Gallery & Christian Cultural Development Foundation.

I help out with the fruit and veg because fresh, quality food is essential to people's well-being, especially at this stressful time. Cheap food is usually not good food, so I'm really happy to be helping out knowing that our food is not only better than cheap but also doing good for the people it feeds.

I'm from England and have lived in Fort Lauderdale since 2014. I teach English at Fort Lauderdale High School. UPDATE: Jo has retired the Market as of August 2020, because school has started! Blessing to this Teacher, Ms. Petersen!

I'm a long term member of First Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale. I was thrilled to hear of Sister Robin's Street Market from our Associate Pastor, Rev. Nic Merchant. He felt I might be able to assist with the kitchen and facilities needs of the ministry. It has been a blessing to be a part of serving our hospitality workers who have long served me and my family. I have learned it is always better to give than to receive and I get great pleasure in packing a box of nutritious fruits and vegetables.
